Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION : Under supervision of the SSA Manager implements, monitors and evaluates services, programs and supports which assist individuals with developmental disabilities to live, work and participate in the community in the most integrated manner possible. They will assist the individuals and team to facilitate access to, and ensure coordination of needed employment services and supports from various systems and generic resources, including but not limited to Medicaid, education, vocation rehabilitation, workforce centers, mental health services, benefits planning and counseling services, transportation services and employments.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree required in a related discipline. Meets or is eligible for necessary certification requirements. One-year experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities, preferably in the areas of community employment and / or working with transition youth. Must be able to transport self and / or individuals, and / or arrange for transportation for individuals. Must be able to maintain insurability as required by Board Policy.
CERTIFICATION : DODD certification - Service and Support Administrator required. May be required to obtain course work at own expense for initial certification as well as renewals.
