Assistant Director of Nursing
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. Our skilled nursing facilities prioritize a rewarding atmosphere, where staff can enjoy coming to work and treat residents like family.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, self-sufficient, and able to multitask effectively. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the nursing department related to residents, employees, visitors, and the public.
- Assist in ensuring nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the provision of medications, treatments, and general nursing services according to the resident's care plan and physician-directed orders.
- Perform resident rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
- Maintain administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for proper charting and documentation of care and medications.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Valid State license as an RN.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing in a long-term care environment.
- One to three (1-3) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
