Position : Risk & Insurance Claims Manager
Location : Work remotely but may require visits to the Tampa office.
Key Qualifications : The Risk & Insurance Claims Manager oversees all facets of the claims process and risk management program, with a strong focus on the evaluation, strategic management, and mitigation of potential risks and exposure to the company(s) by managing claims, ensuring prompt payments from insurance providers, collecting and housing pertinent data, reviewing vendor and contractor limits, and supporting all entities of the Richman Group of companies.

Responsibilities :
- Strategic oversight of claims adjudication for property claims
- Receives and processes notices of claims, documents, and other reports related to claims for the business. May obtain claim information from various sources, including in-person complaints, over the phone, or email.
- Files claims and necessary forms and documents obtained during investigations with appropriate insurance carriers or agencies.
- Coordinate and keep management personnel abreast of all legal challenges, including regular conference calls or meetings regarding such cases
- Oversee the tracking and reporting on corporate performance against risk management
- Compilation of underwriting information as needed, working with Risk Manager
- Loss forecasting and analysis to assist in loss reduction and coordination of any litigation
- Supervise the issuance of Certificates of Insurance in a timely and effective manner
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and loss forecasting purposes, and estimating the financial value of claims
- Mitigate an organization’s exposure to risk by formulating, developing, and coordinating all claims-related activities, as well as resolving bona fide claims at the least possible cost through various risk transfer techniques
- Responsible for post-loss reduction techniques such as salvage, subrogation, and rehabilitation
- Ability to summarize large documents, such as insurance policies, and highlight key components
- Partners with and provides Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, Maintenance, and Operations with advice and guidance with contractual insurance risk transfer
- Liaison between insurance agencies, brokers, and law firms throughout the entire lifespan of all litigated cases to ensure each is brought to a suitable resolution
- Automobile and flood insurance policy management
- Assist in Preparing the renewal process with Senior Management and Broker(s). This would include coverage, terms, conditions, endorsements, pricing, and rates.
- Provide input and professional communication regarding vendor compliance within Vendor Shield.
- Oversee All OSHA policies (Hazardous Communication Program, SDS, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Spaces and Bloodborne Pathogens.)
- Maintain database / archive and ensure ready access via SharePoint. This would include current and historical Claims, Proof of Loss, Payments, Communications, Adjuster Reports, Incident Reports, Etc.
- Builds and maintains risk awareness among all staff by providing company support, policies, and training.
