A leader whose primary function is to manage sanitation employees in the role of Sanitation Supervisor; must be a self-starter and willing to learn new and interesting tasks in a team environment. Adequately monitor and document all duties associated with plant sanitation as outlined by AIB, SQF, company and governmental requirements and or standards as prioritized by management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring the production of safe and high quality products through verification of all processes and keen attention to all of Richmond Baking’s Critical Control Points.
Monitors and maintains as well as implements the master sanitation schedule, and the planning of the duties thereof
Assist in the training of the plant personal on cleaning and sanitation concerns
Accomplish Sanitation staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintains staff by training employees and developing personal growth opportunities within work group
Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; initiating and implementing cost reductions; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages employees within assigned department and/or line.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to become Pest Control Certified.

Bakery knowledge preferred, food experience important. Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, and Process Improvement abilities a must.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree suggested but not required; four to ten years related experience and/or training, preferably in manufacturing or distribution companies; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills essential for effectively fulfill the job requirements herein. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common articles and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from employees, co-workers and management. Ability to write procedures, documented coaching sessions and formal written warnings for personnel file in appropriate style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, union personnel and representatives when appropriate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to effectively analyze statistics regarding internal data such as throughputs, productivity, scrap and percent to goal calculations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
