Description
Richmond Behavioral Health is seekingfull time Direct Support Professional(Child CTH) to perform beginner-level human support work maintaining the safety of clients, monitoring clients with special needs, coordinating meal preparation and supporting clients in meal intake as needed, facilitating educational groups, supporting clients in learning and using coping skills, performing and assisting clients with laundry duties, encouraging clients to adhere to treatment requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home Manager
Essential Functions
Facilitates and leads educational and recreational group activities; engages clients positively. Monitors and assists clients with activities of daily living- showering, toileting, self-care, laundry.
Administer medications in accordance with all regulatory bodies.
Performs customer service duties by meeting and greeting clients upon arrival for treatment; admits clients to the unit by taking inventory of belongings; conducts tours and orientation of unit; cleans and maintains bedrooms.
Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the unit.
Performs laundry duties for unit and client laundry; assists clients with special needs; prepare and serve meals following a provided menu.
Ability to follow a recipe.
Prepares and maintains required shift documentation
Complete documentation in accordance with medication administration requirements. Maintain organized programming areas and kitchen.
Position Requirements
General knowledge of community and Authority resources, programs, and of regional and State sources for the community service population; general knowledge of social casework techniques; some knowledge of human development and behavior; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions; ability to communicate ideas effectively, orally and in writing; ability to prepare clear and concise reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical personnel, law enforcement, clients, associates and the general public.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year working with people with developmental disabilities with preference given for individuals who have experience with individuals with co-occurring mental health or behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities.
Successful candidate must have a valid VA drivers license and be able to work various shifts including overnight, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Qualifying staff will be eleigible for $1,000.00 sign-on bonus as defined by the terms and conditions of the approved sign-on bonus policy.

Starting Salary Range
18.26 per hour plus 6.25% diff for full time employees
