Job Description:
We are seeking an Activities Aide CNA to join our team at Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY.
- Plan and execute a variety of engaging programs for all days of the week, including Sundays and holidays.
- Develop person-centered activities tailored to meet the needs of residents, including exercise and dance, small and large group programs, individual pursuits, sensory activities, clubs, special interests, spiritual and religious activities, and community outings.
- Prepare a monthly calendar of activities and post it in prominent areas and provide it to every resident.
- Coordinate with Recreational Assistants to ensure adequate staffing during activity hours.
- Maintain accurate documentation and be experienced in writing Person-Centered Care Plans, Assessments, and Progress notes.
- Participate in care plan meetings and other meetings as directed by the Director.
- Establish a collaborative relationship with departments involved in care planning to achieve a comprehensive plan of care.
- Order necessary supplies and equipment for the department.
- Organize and coordinate special community outings that align with resident interests.
- Arrange regular entertainment, parties, seasonal programs, and special events.
- Coordinate staff events upon request from the director.
- Ensure the facility is decorated for holidays and seasons.
- Supervise the volunteer program.
- Adhere to all facility and corporate policies.
Requirements:
- Experience in activities/recreation or a related field.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Current CNA license required.
