Activities Aide CNA Job Description
We are seeking an Activities Aide CNA to join our team at Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY.
Duties:
- Plan, create, and execute engaging programs for all days of the week, including Sundays and holidays.
- Design person-centered activities tailored to registrants' needs (e.g., exercise, dance, small and large group programs, individual pursuits, sensory activities, clubs, special interests, spiritual and religious activities, community outings).
- Prepare a monthly calendar of activities posted in prominent areas and provided to every registrant.
- Develop a monthly staffing schedule for Recreational Assistants.
- Ensure documentation requirements are met and have experience writing Person-Centered Care Plans, Assessments, and Progress notes.
- Participate in care plan meetings and other meetings as directed by the Director.
- Maintain good rapport with departments involved in the care plan to achieve a comprehensive plan of care.
- Order necessary supplies and equipment for the department.
- Organize and coordinate special community outings considering registrant interests.
- Arrange regular entertainment, parties, seasonal programs, and special events.
- Plan and coordinate staff events at the request of the director.
- Ensure the facility is decorated appropriately for holidays and seasons.
- Supervise the volunteer program for the facility.
- Adhere to all facility and corporate policies.
Requirements:
- Experience in activities/recreation in a child care or adult care setting.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Current CNA license required.
