Richmond Community Services, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral challenges in Westchester, is seeking a passionate Clinical Coordinator to join our Day Program team in Mount Kisco, NY. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding program staff and ensuring the highest quality of care for our participants.

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Person-Centered Services, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for training and overseeing staff in implementing individuals’ goals, service objectives, and therapeutic activities outlined in their Day Habilitation Plan (DHP). This position takes a hands-on approach to ensure a dynamic and enriching experience for program participants.

Key Responsibilities

Assess the needs and abilities of individuals in the program.

Develop and oversee Day Habilitation Plans (DHP) and conduct semi-annual reviews.

Ensure active staff participation in the care and well-being of individuals, including community outings.

Create staff action plans and document monthly progress notes.

Develop individualized outcomes and schedules of self-directed and functional activities.

Provide ongoing training for Day Program staff in implementing DHPs.

Identify and coordinate recreational and community activities that support individual goals.

Maintain compliance with Richmond’s policies to ensure high-quality care.

Evaluate individual placements within the Day Program and make recommendations.

Ensure a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for all program participants.

Communicate regularly with residential staff and families regarding participants’ status.

Incorporate Person-Centered Planning and other relevant methodologies to support participants' development.

Collaborate with consulting clinicians to integrate therapy techniques into daily programming.

Handle additional related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related Human Services field.

Experience : At least 1 year of experience in developing behavior plans and 2 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Skills :

Strong knowledge of clinical, recreational, social, and independent living skills development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet navigation.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and represent Richmond externally.

Certifications :

Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification

Must complete SCIP training
