What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vocational Agriculture Position position at Richmond High School?
The Richmond R-XVI School District is accepting applications for a Vocational Agriculture position for the 2025-2026 school year.
The District is looking for an energetic and talented individual capable of providing leadership for the Agriculture Education program at Richmond High School.
In addition to maintaining and growing a quality Agriculture Education program, this individual will have extended days, and a FFA advisor extra duty contract.
The Agriculture Education program at Richmond High School provides instruction in the areas of Agribusiness, Horticulture, Landscaping, Financial Record Keeping, Financial Decision Making Skills, Career Exploration, Plant Science, Animal Science, as well as Agriculture Mechanics and Construction. The program and pathways are designed to provide graduates with the skills and experiences needed to prepare them for educational or employment opportunities in agriculture related fields following graduation.
The candidate should have proper certification for the position.
Applicants must demonstrate a student-centered philosophy and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement. A working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities is preferred. The ability to communicate with students, parents and colleagues is essential.
