What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Operations Internship position at Richmond Ivy SC?
The Richmond Ivy Soccer Club, a USL W League team based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a team operations internship candidate from May 1, 2025 to June 28, 2025. This role will report directly to the Richmond Ivy SC Sporting Director.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in all aspects of team travel, including organizing hotels, team meals and training facilities as required.
- Assist with the logistical requirements for Technical staff and Players.
- Serve as a liaison when hosting teams in the Richmond market.
- Day-to-day management and preparation of all equipment needs for Richmond Ivy players and staff.
- Aid Technical Staff in preparation for training, matches, and team events.
- Coordinates with technical, medical, and administrative staff to ensure that all travel logistics are organized related to equipment.
- Manages the equipment set-up and operation of W League games, both home and away.
- Manage compliance of League protocols of all USL W League matches.
- Assist Technical Staff with day-to-day training session setup.
- Represent the Club at the highest standard.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Experiences
- Previous experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to travel and work non-traditional hours.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of current technologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift. Ability to participate in sustained activities for extended periods of time.
- Must have access to transportation and a valid driver’s license.
