WE ARE SEEKING TO FILL AN HP INDIGO PRESS TECHNICIAN POSITION WITHIN OUR MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT:
We are looking for an experienced Press Printing Technician to help with the overall successful functionality of our Hewlett-Packard Indigo. We work in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about finding ideal candidates to help our organization succeed. Our goal is to create a motivated and positive workspace with employees who are eager to learn and grow. We maintain a staff of just over 100 full-time employees, plus 200 seasonal employees depending on the time of year. Our business is highly cyclical, with two busy seasons per year – spring and fall. The HP Indigo Press Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and will serve as the primary technician of the HP Indigo.
The HP Indigo Press Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the HP Indigo digital press to ensure top-quality print output. Key duties include setting up the press for different print jobs, calibrating colors, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing regular maintenance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and calibrate the press for each job while addressing any technical issues that may arise to ensure smooth, consistent operation.
- Maintain high print quality and color accuracy, while collaborating with the production team to meet lab standards.
- Upkeep a strong understanding of digital printing processes, hands-on experience with HP Indigo presses, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
- Quickly identify and resolve technical problems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the presses to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Train other lab associates on the correct use of equipment and maintenance procedures as needed.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of digital printing technology, mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all types of people.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize technical tools, i.e., printing software, communication channels, etc.
- Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required; college experience/degree preferred.
- Proven printing experience required.
- HP Indigo certification strongly preferred.
