Job Description
The Richmond City Justice Center is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Court Services Office Assistant .
The Court Services Office Assistant is responsible for answering and responding to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding legal documents that need to be served by the officer; preparing legal documents for officers to serve that are in our jurisdiction; imputing appropriate information into our database quickly and accurately; collecting and processing fees received by mail or in-person as well as prepare deposits for those payments; assuring that documents are in compliance with the VA Law-Code and verify the eligibility of the information provided is able to be served; opening received mail, mailing legal return documents; and assuring items are completed to be served by the court date listed on the documents.
The preferred candidate will have a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of administrative experience. Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. Should be able to demonstrate competencies in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. The preferred candidate will possess strong organizational skills and data entry ability.
Salary is negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience. Competitive benefits package. The position is open until filled and is at-will.
