What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Skill Building Counselor (QMHP-A) position at Richmond Therapeutic Health Services LLC?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct and indirect care to program participants.
- Meet for monthly supervision with the Clinical Supervisor
- Assist clients in developing acceptable habits and attitudes, in managing their behavior, and in meeting goals and objectives of their service plan
- Provide progress notes for each meeting with clients to document progress or barriers towards reaching goals and objectives of client’s service plan
- Assist in training client in techniques that will enable them to learn and manage their behaviors associated with their mental health diagnosis and any additional needs as documented in the client’s ISP.
- Maintain current CPR, First Aid and Behavioral Management Techniques certification
- Other duties as assigned
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Clinical Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree and at least one- year experience of working with adults with mental, behavioral, or emotional illness. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have experience in serving individuals with varying mental health diagnosis. Must possess strong listening and interviewing Skills as well as basic computer/keyboarding Skills. Must possess strong verbal and written communication Skills. Certification in CPR- infant, child and adult; TB test required. Must also have reliable transportation and keep updated car insurance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
