Key Responsibilities:
As a Service Technician, you will report to the Community Director and play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and repair needs of the property are met efficiently and professionally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing all maintenance and repair work for apartments, supportive buildings, common areas, breezeways, irrigation systems, and grounds.
- Completing service requests within one business day, except under extraordinary circumstances.
- Preparing vacant apartments for move-in, including debris removal, repairs, painting, lock & key rotation, and inspections.
- Maintaining an organized and adequately stocked maintenance shop to meet routine and emergency needs.
- Providing 24-hour emergency maintenance service while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Completing Preventive Maintenance Reports on building exteriors, HVAC systems, recreational equipment, and more.
- Performing maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks for swimming pool equipment.
- Painting and maintaining interior and exterior surfaces, including parking lot striping, curbs, handrails, and other external units.
- Following the Fair Housing Act in all interactions.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- HVAC or EPA certification preferred.
- Pool operation and maintenance experience preferred.
- 3 years of related work experience preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and irrigation systems.
- Availability to work in an on-call capacity for emergency maintenance services.
Physical Demands:
This role requires physical stamina and flexibility, including:
- Lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
- Bending, stooping, twisting, and working in small or overhead areas.
- Reaching overhead for extended periods to perform repair work.
