THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION!

Rick Shipman Construction is Looking for a self-starting, self-motivated traveling carpenter. Must have experience in metal stud framing, drywall (finisher is a plus), commercial doors, hardware and general carpentry. Must be reliable and have reliable transportation. Must have a drivers license. Must have own tools. Must be able to work well with others.

Requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

• Above-average carpentry skills with respect to layout, cutting and trim.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
• Experience with hand & power tools
• Familiar with blueprints/blueprint interpretation
• Experience with framing, drywall, taping
• Experience with hardware and trim installation
• Punch work and various other duties as assigned
• Follow OSHA and company safety rules and regulations
• Must be able to make exact measurements
• Be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to bend and lift without difficulty up to 80 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to handle projects with deadlines
• Must have good problem-solving and communication skills
• On time every day
• A professional demeanor and appearance

Conditions of Employment:

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions
• A reliable vehicle.
• Must be willing to room with a fellow carpenter

Salary is based on experience.

Work will include but not limited to:

• Install Laminate – plastic,
• Install Casework
• Install Millwork
• Install Hallow Metal Doors & Hardware
• Install ACT (acoustic ceiling tile) System – ceiling tile, grid, main runners,
• Metal Framing
• Install Tile – LVT, VCT, Quarry,
• Install and Finish Drywall – Level 1 to 5 finish
• Interior Painting
• Install bathroom partitions
