RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle clerical activities such as:
- File paperwork.
- Answer the telephone.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Update policyholder’s contact information such as phone number and email address, but not home address or other information that could change their rates or coverages.
- Print and fax proof of insurance or send proof of insurance to the customer.
- Call insured to ask for proof of grades for the good student discount, but not enter into the system.
- Confirm, but not enter VIN numbers with an insured when there is a mismatch or confirm if vehicle is registered in the state.
- Confirm, but not enter odometer readings with an insured/follow up on Drive Safe & Save reminders™ when a policyholder is late reporting their mileage
- Produce and send form letters for cancellations due to non-payment situations.
- Verify with the insured that the cancellation date will occur on the date requested by the insured, but not enter into the system.
- Confirm that the driver’s license is expiring/if lost, obtain new driver’s license number, but not enter into the system.
- Produce and send form letter for claims where basic information such as name needs to be completed/filled in.
- Follow up with insured when the SFPP Recurring Monthly Agreement form hasn’t been received.
- Answer basic billing questions such as amount due and due date.
- Respond to requests for evidence of insurance from a lender, escrow company or mortgage company.
- Call policyholder to confirm changes regarding mortgage company or lienholder changes.
- Help policyholder register on statefarm.com® (to review documents themselves).
- Follow up with policyholder on letters sent to confirm home alert documentation, but not enter into the system.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
