Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in surveying or related field preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in field layout, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license is required and clean driving record.
- Proficient with total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
- Strong understanding of survey principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and legal descriptions.
- Ability to lead all phases of setting control and construction layout.
- Ability and willingness to travel to various project sites throughout Maricopa and Pinal County.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, and moving objects of up to 50 pounds across various terrains.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Trimble Business Center.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal surveying regulations.
- Work is performed primarily in outdoor environments, construction sites, roadways, and often in remote and rugged locations.
- Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking on uneven/steep terrain, and carrying equipment.
- Position is primarily based at our Phoenix, Arizona office.
