Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. Ricks AMT has been servicing Michigan for over 20 years and now we are launching a wheelchair fleet. Company vehicle will be provided to you.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting our clients to designated medical appointments while providing exceptional customer service & compassionate care. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. You must be physically able to push wheelchair clientele.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate wheelchair vans & ramps.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the safety of passengers.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing regular inspections and basic maintenance.
- Communicate effectively clients and dispatch office with schedules, routes, and any changes.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Skills
- Experience in NEMT driving, bus driving, shuttle driving, or school bus driving is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.
- Proven ability to maintain composure in challenging situations while prioritizing safety.
- A valid chauffer's driver's license.
Requirements
- Chauffer's License
- Pass Background Checks, MVR, & Drug Screening
- Willingness to obtain Wheelchair Securement Training (Provided by Us)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus opportunities
