General Job Description:
The Demand Manager role focuses on planning and scheduling to optimize manufacturing workflow. This position is a team player working with customer service, engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to align the workload to the available capacity. The individual that fills this role will be strong at multitasking and can clearly communicate issues between all departments. This position will establish the weekly production schedule along with managing the quarterly build schedule with operations leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages customer order line due dates utilizing manufacturing capacity while focusing on customer needs.
- Oversees job creation and release to align with customer order due dates and manufacturing capacity.
- Assists in make vs buy decisions.
- Ownership of communication with sales and customer service on product ship dates.
- Oversees change management as it applies to jobs in process.
- Validation of labor estimates
- Manages phase gate reviews and communications between engineering and supply chain.
- Establishes the weekly output by department.
- Establishes the quarterly production schedule with input from operations leadership.
Education & Training:
- 1-3 years' experience in production scheduling
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of Item / Job Bill of Materials and job routings
Knowledge & Experience:
- Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline) experience
- Understanding of raw materials, purchasing, and manufacturing roles a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing experience
Salary : $68,000 - $85,000
