The Field Specialist I at Ricoh provides strategic analysis and consultative support for the service, maintenance, repair, and development of solutions for various Ricoh production printing products and services. This role also supports new business functions and handles other assigned solutions, requiring advanced technical skills and expertise.
Primary Responsibilities :
Technical :
Configure, install, troubleshoot, network, maintain, and train on a range of Ricoh products and services.
Serve as a consultant to solve complex product issues and recurring problems.
Lead technical efforts and guide others on best practices and solutions.
Identify opportunities to increase the utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
Assemble, adjust, and maintain products in accordance with specifications, sharing expertise on equipment operations.
Customer Service :
Promote Ricoh’s support functions and anticipate customer needs.
Manage time and schedules effectively while assisting others with workload management.
Build and maintain productive, professional relationships with customers and Ricoh personnel.
Provide customer training and offer solutions to improve workflows and methods.
Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including meeting response and repair times.
Qualifications :
Required Experience :
Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance (for roles requiring travel).
Experience with computers, electronics, mechanics, basic networking, and printing software applications is desirable.
Must meet Ricoh’s Technology Services Training Role Inventory and Certification Program requirements for the assigned role.
Required Education :
High school diploma required.
Additional coursework or training in relevant fields (computers, electronics, mechanics, networking, printing software) is a plus.
Work Environment :
Extensive daily travel by automobile to customer locations is required.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Physical demands include lifting objects up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling for equipment servicing.
Flexibility for shift work, overtime, on-call duties, and stand-by may be necessary.
Work may be subject to stress due to deadlines, performance expectations, and high service call volumes.
