Field Representative I, Fulfillment
Position Profile: The Field Representative I, Fulfillment provides operations functions in a fulfillment center, including:
- Operating high-volume continuous feed or cut sheet printing equipment.
- Performing inserting tasks using high-speed commercial inserters.
- Handling copying tasks, shipping, and receiving products and supplies.
- Sorting, distributing, and handling incoming and outgoing mail/faxes, and applying necessary postage.
- Providing copier maintenance and/or repair of site equipment.
- Performing bindery, quality control, final check, housekeeping, file services, call center representative, and reception tasks.
- Performing building support functions related to meeting setups.
- Handling white glove mail piece assembly from large volume print runs, sorting, and inserting mail pieces by hand for USPS mailing.
- Working in a multi-shift environment, including weekends.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run high-volume printing equipment and perform binding and finishing work.
- Set up and run all applications on all equipment.
- Ensure convenience copiers are working properly, perform daily inspections, clear paper jams, and inform technicians of specific problems.
- Maintain records for management reports and inventories of supplies.
- Distribute office supplies, fax transmissions, and mail to company personnel or designated drop-off points.
- Calculate charges for jobs performed and maintain billing logs.
- Respond to and coordinate all service calls.
- Perform filing duties as requested by customers.
- Deliver completed jobs to pre-determined customer locations within and outside the site.
- Maintain daily meter and service logs.
- Answer customer questions regarding job requests.
- Ensure upkeep of all workstation areas and sorting stations.
- Perform duties related to shipping and receiving materials.
- Set up meeting and conference rooms.
- Perform light maintenance duties as assigned.
- Perform occasional cleaning duties as needed.
- Work periodic overtime on nights and weekends, including off-hour emergency response.
- Use various equipment such as shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, hole driller, bindery equipment, jogger, tape machine, stackers, electric stapler, and scales.
- Use copier equipment, calculator, fax machine, postage meter, and some PC.
- Perform filing duties, including purging and archiving old documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of related work experience preferred.
- Related copy job experience in a high production, mechanically sophisticated print environment preferred.
- Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage required.
- Ability to learn complex production and/or communication systems, such as client-specific mainframe applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of copier and related equipment and repair preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures required.
- Basic electronics knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly to complete projects.
- Ability to determine correct method and packing material and check packing slips for accuracy.
- Ability to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to read and comprehend written technical information in manuals, parts books, and related publications.
- Excellent customer relations and verbal communication skills required.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands:
- Frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise, toner, and changes in room temperature.
- Exposure to frequent paper cuts from handling paper and opening boxes.
- Exposure to various weather conditions when walking between buildings.
- Daily contact with customers, employees, managers, and Dispatch Department, and occasional contact with vendors and equipment repair personnel.
- High stress levels due to tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
- Physical effort required, including long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing or pulling machines on wheels, weighing up to 400 lbs., for repairs. Walking between buildings may be necessary.
