About the Role
We are seeking a Seasonal Level 3 Bicycle Technician to tackle advanced mechanical repairs, custom builds, and e-bike diagnostics during our busiest riding season. This position focuses on precision, efficiency, and delivering high-quality results to keep our riders rolling.
This role requires a solid performer who takes pride in their work, demonstrates leadership within the service team, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is required to support customer demand during peak times.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced repairs, tune-ups, and custom builds, including:
- Suspension service, hydraulic brake maintenance, wheel building, and e-bike diagnostics.
- High-end bike builds and component installations (frame-up).
- Deliver top-notch service by ensuring bikes meet safety, performance, and quality standards.
- Clearly communicate repairs and maintenance tips to customers, building trust through transparency.
- Actively recommend additional services, parts, or accessories that enhance the rider’s experience.
- Assist with accessory installations or customer support during peak times.
- Monitor tools and parts inventory, notifying the Service Manager when restocking is needed.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior technicians and supporting team morale during peak service periods.
What You Bring
- Experience: 3 years of professional bicycle shop experience with advanced repair skills.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in suspension service, wheel building, and e-bike systems.
- Customer Focus: A positive attitude and the ability to explain repairs and offer helpful recommendations.
- Ownership Mentality: Pride in your work, accountability for mistakes, and a proactive approach to improvement.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor junior technicians and support the service team to maintain smooth workflow.
- Physical Ability: Safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Technology: Familiarity with Lightspeed POS or similar systems for work order management (required).
