Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to manage a team of service technicians effectively. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of service quality, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of mechanics and service technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure all bike maintenance and repair work is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Coordinate with the sales team to promote services and upsell additional repairs or maintenance packages.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Handle administrative tasks related to service operations, including scheduling, managing inventory and warranties.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest bike technology and repair techniques and continuously improve personal skills through training and hands-on experiences.
Experience
- Proven experience in bike maintenance or repair, with specific skills in brake repair and general mechanic duties.
- Strong background in customer service, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with guest.
- Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in bike maintenance.
- Experience in managing or leading a team is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during bike repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency within the service department.
