Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver
We are currently seeking reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our team. Our ideal candidates are responsible, punctual, and dedicated to providing high-quality transportation services to our clients, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 24 years of age.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no DUI or DWI offenses. A reasonably clean driving history is essential.
- Experience: Must have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years.
- Flexible Schedule: Must be available to start as early as 4:00 AM and work until 6:00 or 7:00 PM. Availability for some weekends and holidays is required.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness: Must maintain a professional appearance and keep company vehicles clean both inside and out at all times.
- Safe Driving Habits: Should prioritize safety above all else while transporting clients to and from appointments. This includes obeying traffic laws (e.g., stopping at stop signs, avoiding speeding, and using gentle acceleration and braking to preserve the vehicle).
- Physical Abilities: Must be capable of assisting with wheelchair and stretcher duties. Please do not apply if you have physical limitations that would make it difficult to perform these tasks.
- Mobile Technology: Must be comfortable using mobile phone technology to track rides, navigate, and manage appointments.
- Ability to Receive Feedback: Should be open to taking constructive criticism and following directives to improve service quality.
- Health Requirements: Applicants should not have medical conditions that require prescription medications which may cause drowsiness or lethargy. Your health and well-being should allow you to safely perform job duties without impairment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Transport: Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from medical appointments.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers during transport.
- Timely Arrivals: Ensure that you are punctual for all scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Vehicle Care: Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle.
- Safety First: Prioritize patient and vehicle safety, including using safe driving practices and following all applicable traffic laws.
- Technology Use: Utilize company-provided mobile technology to receive ride requests, navigation, and other essential updates.
