Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting members to doctors appointments, dialysis appointments, adult centers, and leisure trips while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while on the road.
Duties
- Operate vehicles equipped with stretchers/wheelchairs while ensuring safe and timely transportation of passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any changes in routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Manage heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading cargo.
- Operate stretchers, stair chair, wheelchair, and other medical equipment.
- Utilize Homebase to clock in/out for shifts
- Utilize R4H App on phone to view schedule and update trip status's when transporting members.
Skills
- Experience in shuttle driving, van driving, or bus driving is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with passengers.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Experience in paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus.
- Capability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure while navigating various traffic conditions.
- Physical ability to perform medium to heavy lifting tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years or older in order to be added to company insurance policy.
- No at fault accidents in the last 3 years.
- Although we are a second opportunity employer, we CAN NOT hire anyone convicted of a felony charge in the last 7 years.

- Complete all necessary trainings prior to start date if hired.
