Work Schedule : Must be willing to work flexible schedule that may include working day, evening and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays. Will also include extra assignments / overtime on short or no notice. Total hours per week (excluding overtime) is 40 hours.

Position Overview
Provides the university with excellent customer & community service assistance, protects life, and safeguards property through the maintenance of law and order by enforcing all rules and regulations governing Rider University.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one-year law enforcement, security, military, or firefighting experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain within one year, CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must possess the following : demonstrated ability to work well with others and under both direct and indirect supervision; excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to be professional and calm under pressure; a high degree of dedication, honesty, and integrity; computer literacy; ability to perform physical aspects of the job; and willingness and ability to work flexible hours and voluntary and involuntary overtime.
- The completion of a satisfactory background is required. Individuals must possess a valid and satisfactory driver's license.
- This position has been deemed essential by the University to ensure the continuation of critical University operations, attend to the needs of students and others, and protect the University's assets during an emergency or when the University has closed or suspended operations. University employees designated as essential personnel must remain on duty or report to work as regularly scheduled to avoid interruption of essential services unless directed or permitted to do otherwise, as indicated by their department supervisor.
