Transport Manager – Children's Transportation Services
Job Summary:
The Transport Manager ensures the safe and efficient transportation of children by coordinating routes, managing drivers, and monitoring trips in progress. This primarily remote role involves overseeing transportation schedules and maintaining regular communication with drivers and management using Google and Microsoft platforms. Occasional in-person meetings may be required. The ideal candidate is ready to step in and produce results immediately, with a willingness to grow into new areas and take on extra responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and assign transportation routes for efficiency and timeliness.
- Manage drivers to ensure high standards of service.
- Monitor trips to ensure they are accepted and completed as planned, resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure readiness and reliability.
- Use Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers and management, addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Manage transportation expenses and support operational efficiency.
- Respond to unexpected challenges such as delays or schedule changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (e.g., Sheets, Excel, Calendar, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic situations.
