As a Powersports Driver/Shop Helper, you will play a vital role in our company's operations by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of Side by Sides, ATVs, and motorcycles to our valued customers. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of duties, including loading and unloading units, maintaining our facilities, and assisting in our Service Department. Key Responsibilities:
Delivery and Transport:
- Operate company trucks to transport Side by Sides, ATVs, and motorcycles to customers.
- Load and unload powersports units from trailers and trucks.
- Utilize forklift equipment (Forklift Certification training provided).
Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure the Service Department and storage areas are clean and well organized.
- Perform daily tasks such as waste can emptying, floor sweeping, and proper disposal of unwanted parts.
- Assist with cleaning tasks as needed and ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of parking lots and grounds.
Shop Support:
- Work in the shop, assisting in moving and detailing Side by Sides, ATVs, and motorcycles.
- Possess minor mechanical skills to aid in tasks as required.
- Collaborate with other departments on various duties when necessary.
Requirements
- Must have experience with 16 foot or larger utility trailers
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Follow safety guidelines and best practices.
- Exhibit a proactive attitude in accepting new tasks and seeking opportunities to add value to the company.
- Adhere to all company rules and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated entry-level mechanical knowledge and ability.
- Successfully pass background checks, drug screenings, and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) checks.
- Forklift certification (training provided within 60 days of employment).
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to pursue a motorcycle endorsement if not already possessed.
- A positive, team-oriented individual with a passion for powersports.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a shop environment with potential physical.
- Occasionally required to work beyond 40 hours, especially for customer deliveries outside regular store hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift, push, pull, or drag loads of up to 50 lbs.
