What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Resale Store Manager position at RIDGE AREA ARC?
Position Definition:
Ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the resale store and be willing and able to work any position including driving the box truck.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist Store Manager secure yearly budgeted (gross sales) revenues for Resale Store.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining necessary reports in Manager's absence.
- Coordinate donations, pickups & deliveries.
- Assist in the display of items and help oversee window displays.
- Help manage staff and volunteers.
- Be a backup for supervision & training of staff and volunteers.
- Oversee the safety & security of the store ensuring the store is in compliance with County/State regulations, including (but not limited to) fire inspections &, if needed, be prepared to respond to store alarms and/or emergency situations that could occur after hours & possibly involve local authorities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular communication with each directly supervised staff member.
- Others as listed in the detailed job description.
Controls over the Position:
Resale Store Manager.
Supervisory Duties:
Resale Associates, Cashier, Drivers and Volunteers.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass level 2 background screening upon employment, as described in Chapter 435, F.S. including local criminal screening, drug testing, & fingerprinting.
- Must possess clean driving record (3 years) as supported by a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must be a legal driver in the state of Florida as supported by providing copies of driver's license, registration, & proof of insurance on private vehicle showing evidence of required insurance coverage as expressed by the current Arc insurance carrier.
- Must possess an interest in working with people with disabilities.
Minimum Training Requirements:
- Completion of Ridge Area Arc new Employee Orientation
- Prefer current CPR, First Aid, HIV/AIDS certification.
