This position is not for the weak! The MDS Coordinator manages nursing staff, monitors patient care and performs clinical duties, as well as an office role. The MDS Coordinator will write and update care plans, assist in the admissions process, and be an invaluable part to the management of the stay of our residents.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the MDS process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while providing high-quality care to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical documentation and management practices.
Duties
- Oversee the completion of MDS assessments for patients in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather necessary clinical information for accurate documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of MDS assessments and related documentation within required deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical management practices to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans based on assessment data.
- Provide training and support to clinical staff on MDS processes and documentation requirements.
- Monitor quality indicators and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
- Facilitate communication between primary care providers, pediatrics, outpatient services, and other healthcare professionals.

Pay: $32.22 - $39.00 per hour
