The Intake Coordinator (IC) plays a crucial role in the admissions process for new clients entering the program over the weekend. The IC is responsible for presenting a welcoming face to clients and their families, providing tours upon arrival, and demonstrating empathy, compassion, and acceptance. The IC manages and oversees the intake process, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and procedures. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive, supported, and responsive entry for both the client and their family. This position can be full-time when serving as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) when intakes are not scheduled.
Position Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the intake coordination and processes, including but not limited to:
- Building rapport with new clients to ensure they feel welcomed and safe upon admission.
- Ensuring client and parent documentation is completed in the EHR at admission.
- Following intake procedures such as ensuring clients complete a urinary drug analysis, and recording and examining belongings for weapons/paraphernalia.
- Communicating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate appointments with the therapist and psychiatrist within the required time frame.
- Ensuring a safe, organized, and prepared environment.
- Being familiar and comfortable with executing crisis management protocols and interventions.
- Responding professionally to client and family questions.
- Conducting tours as requested in an informed and professional manner.
- Being recognized as positive and hopeful by youth, families, peers, and professionals.
- Helping to maintain and support a positive work environment.
- Completing any necessary documentation on time and accurately.

- Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass extensive background checks, including fingerprinting
- High School Diploma/GED required
- College degree in related fields preferred (social work, psychology, human services, etc.) or equivalent work experience
- Experience working directly with youth preferred
- Experience with behavior and group management preferred
- Current CPR & First-Aid Certifications, CRMA, and Certified BHP a plus
