Daycare Director
Location: Ridgecrest Daycare, Rocky Mount, NC
Organization: Ridgecrest Church
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 (based on experience) with generous raises for business growth
Schedule: Flexible hours as needed, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM
About Us:
Ridgecrest Daycare, a ministry of Ridgecrest Church, provides high-quality daycare services for newborns through preschool-age children. We currently serve 50 children, with capacity for up to 90. We are seeking a Daycare Director to lead and grow our program, ensuring a loving, nurturing, and educational environment for the children in our care.
Education Requirements:
- Must have the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent as required by state law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enrollment & Growth: Recruit new families, market the daycare, and manage enrollment.
- Financial Management: Collect enrollment fees and oversee tuition payments.
- Staff Coordination: Work with church administration on staffing and employee retention.
- Compliance & Curriculum: Ensure adherence to North Carolina state daycare regulations and keep teachers updated on policies and curriculum.
- Operations Management: Assign children to classes, maintain organization, and oversee daily operations.
- Supply & Meal Planning: Manage inventory, order supplies, and set up weekly lunch and snack menus.
- Parent & Teacher Communication: Maintain strong communication with staff and parents through email, text, and in-person interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with North Carolina daycare regulations.
- Experience in childcare or daycare management is helpful.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and staff.
- Computer proficiency, including emails and text messaging.
- Must pass all criminal background checks.
