What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker, Part-Time position at Ridgecrest Conference Center?
Description
Perform a variety of food service duties for front of house, back of house, dish, outlets, and storeroom as needed including but not limited to the following essential duties of the position. Must be available for nights and weekends, including holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor food levels and guest counts through the door, and work with manager on duty and kitchen team to ensure adequate levels of fresh food
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations, dining room, and kitchen areas
- Follow Health and Safety Guidelines and Food Preparation Guidelines
- Receive, inspect, and put away food products and ensure products are in stock and in-date
- Responsible for cleaning, stacking and drying pots, pans, kettles, and utensils used by the culinary staff
- Complete other assignments as the Shift Leader and/or Supervisor may deem necessary

- Willing to learn and work in different areas of the Food Service team
- Must be flexible, dependable, and organized
- Able to perform duties in a manner reflecting good stewardship of time and resources
- Able to work in a high volume setting with the goals of accuracy, speed of service, and food safety
Education, Work Experience, and Other Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (recommended)
- 0-2 years in Food/Beverage industry
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be physically able to lift weights up to 50 pounds,
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use kitchen utensils and equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods, and be able to stoop, squat, and climb as necessary
