Qualifications
Qualifications of the Staffing Coordinator :
High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a long-term care setting.
Current certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferred.
CPR certification.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet, and Intranet navigation.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Staffing Coordinator :
Assist with preparing nursing department work schedules for each calendar month.
Assist with finding call-in replacements to meet corporate, state, and federal staffing guidelines.
Answer phone, assist visitors and residents, and relay communications.
Carry out additional administrative support as needed, including but not limited to : Recruiting and Retaining Staff, maintaining budget and ppd.
Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
Report to Director of Nursing Services (DON) all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism, in accordance with Facility policy.
Work with Human Resource Delegate and DON when scheduling modified work duty employees, in accordance with work restrictions and Facility policy.
Complete in timely fashion necessary nursing department employee records upon hiring, job reclassification, and discharge as needed.
Assist employees in accurate completion of forms (i.e., leave and day off requests, time cards, etc.) pertinent to scheduling and staffing.
Keep a pulse on the job market with advanced job matching technology.
