Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting in delivering high-quality treatment. We are a small start up office with a strong emphasis on the patient experience and maintaining our office culture! This position requires an understanding of dental procedures- we can train on the job, excellent communication skills, and the desire to form cultivate great relationships with our patients.
Duties
- Assist orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Take panoramic and cephalometric xrays.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Skills
- Experience in dental assisting, particularly in orthodontics, is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high standards of care and documentation.
