Ridgefield Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Technology Department Data Team. The candidate will collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other district stakeholders, as well as the technology team, to ensure the accurate collection of school data. This role will involve serving as a resource for users of district-wide information systems, analyzing problems and issues related to the information systems and related software, assisting users with data integrity and reporting, and reporting accurate school district data to the state department. The candidate will be responsible for addressing the needs of district stakeholders in a positive and caring manner. The candidate will report directly to the District Data Manager and the Director of Educational Technology.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
- Manage and maintain data and data quality as a PowerSchool Administrator. Aid staff at all levels with usage and functionality of the student information system.
- Work with district leadership in collecting and analyzing data from student benchmark testing.
- Coordinate with third party vendors and other testing platform sites to ensure accuracy of student data (rostering, test scores, etc.)
- Aid in the implementation of new PowerSchool plugins or add-ons as necessary
- Maintain and support current PowerSchool plugins (Device Management, Report Creator, MySchoolBucks)
- Oversee data flow from PowerSchool to and from other data warehouses (Transportation, Curriculum, etc.)
- Create new and maintain existing reports and data exports within PowerSchool through use of Oracle SQL.
- Create new and maintain existing customized pages within PowerSchool through use of HTML / CSS, JavaScript, and Oracle SQL.
- Keep up to date with current data quality standards.
- Use a helpdesk ticketing system to respond to user issues.
- Work with vendors to purchase equipment / services for use throughout the district.
- Other tasks as defined by the District Data Manager or Helpdesk Coordinator.
Preferred Requirements :
Districtwide - 12 month position
Base Starting Salary : 65k-75k dependent on experience and / or qualification
Retirement benefit : Employer to contribute 5% salary matching to employee 403b retirement plan
