What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Officer position at Ridgeland Police Department?
Provide traffic and law enforcement services within the town limits of Ridgeland, SC. This includes protecting citizens and their property by patrolling neighborhoods, enforcing traffic laws, responding to calls for assistance, investigating traffic collisions and other related tasks. Must be well versed in the 56 code of South Carolina as well as TR-310/FR-10 for traffic collision investigations. Two years minimum of experience preferred on US highways and US interstates. Be a U.S citizen at least 21 years of age
Requirements:
- Be a resident of South Carolina or in the process of relocating
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Be able to pass an extensive background check
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have no domestic violence or felony convictions
-Class 1 LEO certified preferred
