About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at The Ridge at Lansing. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will work closely with our nursing staff to assist with daily living activities, medication management, and other healthcare needs. Your role will be critical in maintaining a positive and supportive environment for our residents, and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a long-term care or assisted living facility
- Additional training or certification in dementia care or other specialized areas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as directed by nursing staff
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to nursing staff
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents
Skills:
As a Caregiver, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with our residents and their families. You will also use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that all care plans are followed accurately and efficiently. In addition, you will use your physical strength and stamina to assist with lifting and transferring residents as needed. Your ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members will be essential in providing the highest quality care to our residents.
