Ground-Floor Opportunity in Chronic Care Infusion Pharmacy
Independently-owned specialty pharmacy opening soon in Birmingham!
This is a start-up opportunity, working closely with the pharmacy owner to create a chronic care infusion pharmacy dedicated to working proactively with patients, healthcare practitioners and payors to provide comprehensive support before, during and after treatment.
The person in this role will be responsible for overseeing all of pharmacy operations. The role will begin with licensing and build out of the facility, ordering and managing inventory and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. It will also entail overseeing all ongoing daily operations including patient management, intake and revenue management. The Pharmacy Manager will work closely with owner and key leaders to assure productivity, regulatory compliance and desired patient outcomes.
This position requires a pharmacist with both Alabama and Florida licenses (active and in good standing) with solid business acumen and a good understanding of pharmacy best practices and sops. Major responsibilities of the position include:
- Supervise branch operations as they related to quality, regulatory compliance, operational policy and procedure
- Work closely with patients and payers to find solutions for therapy delivery obstacles. Heavy focus on front end and patient management.
- Oversee drug preparation, dispensing and clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of care to patients.
- Work with Director of Nursing to coordinate delivery of medications to patients.
- Participate in budgeting and meeting financial objectives for the branch.
- Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures
- Assist with initial establishment of new pharmacy facility, equipment and inventory.
Qualifications for this position include:
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree; business degree a plus
- License to practice Pharmacy in Alabama and Florida (multiple licenses a plus)
- Solid clinical and operational experience and training
- Strong leadership skills and experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
