Our client, a prestigious pediatric medical center in Philadelphia, is seeking to hire an Assistant Director of Pharmacy.
The individual in this role will be accountable for :
- Managing staff, operations, systems, and resources to ensure optimal results and high employee engagement.
- Making sure the department is running smoothly and is in regulatory compliance.
- Providing leadership for the overall daily clinical and distributive operation of the Pharmacy providing safe and effective pharmacy services.
- Mentors and manages pharmacy staff in providing integrated clinical pharmacy activity.
- Oversight of hospital-wide controlled substance management.
- Serves as system administrator for dispensing automation.
- Manages the operations and functions of IV admixture services assuring that all operational and regulatory requirements are met.
- Responsible for departmental work schedule and payroll.
- Develops and updates departmental policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements as well as pharmacy best practices.
- Evaluates and responds to medication event reports relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Monitors workflow on an ongoing basis and formulates strategies for continuous improvement.
