Director of Pharmacy

Our client, a top-ranked Medical Center in the USA, is seeking to hire a new Director of Pharmacy. This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of the current DOP.

The individual in this role will report to the COO and be responsible for all administrative, operational, and clinical activities in the hospital pharmacy. This responsibility will encompass all aspects of operations, budgeting, planning, organization, staffing, and evaluation, as well as the supervision of approximately 55 FTEs.

Excellent executive leadership as well as operational and clinical experts will be working closely with the individual in this role. This position offers many exciting integration and collaboration opportunities, working with excellent system and department leadership.

Requirements :

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or equivalent training
• Post graduate training In Pharmacy Practice or Hospital Administration, or equivalent experience required. Additional advanced degrees (i.e., M.B.A., MPH, or MHA) preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a Medical Center / Hospital Pharmacy.
• Minimum of five years management experience or demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills in a Medical Center pharmacy or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Management experience as a director or assistant director level preferred.
• Registered Pharmacist in the State of California (or eligible to reciprocate to CA)
