Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care in various settings, including home health, group homes, and hospice care. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you serve. We are looking to fill PRN or 'as needed position' this person would fill in for staff who are on vacation or sick. Ideally this individual has a flexible schedule and is willing to come in even last minute if needed. There is no set schedule, although part-time permanent shifts are available if desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and observing changes in their condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support individuals with autism and memory care needs through tailored activities and engagement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Document patient progress and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism or memory care challenges is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in patient monitoring techniques and understanding of home health practices.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Previous experience in hospice care or group home settings is a plus.
