What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Intern position at Ridgeview Construction?
Ridgeview Construction is an award-winning custom home builder committed to leading the way in responsible home building.
We prioritize sustainability and being an engaged corporate citizen. Our success stems from our belief that employee growth and engagement in process improvement enable us to deliver exceptional dream homes to customers.
As part of our Corporate Citizenship program, we are offering an unpaid internship in our sales & marketing department for students with a major in marketing or entrepreneurial skills.
Internship Program Objective
We aim to develop a solid marketing strategy by identifying new client demographics using past client lead sources, sales information, and other outside sources.
Key messages for each targeted group must be developed once the demographics are identified. Currently, there is limited in-house information available for research, so outside sources may need to be consulted to obtain a full profile of the intended buying group.
During the final phase, communication tools (home shows, online presence, social media, and print media) will be identified to reach the targeted audience, contingent upon successful completion of the first phase.
Responsibilities
- Identify new client demographics for New Construction, Remodeling/Renovation, and Development product lines.
- Research inside and outside the organization to determine client demographics.
- Develop key messages aligned with product lines and targeting defined client demographics.
- Bring a fresh perspective to the organization and encourage thinking outside the box.
Requirements
- Analyze data effectively.
- Coursework supporting understanding of consumer marketing.
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to think creatively and present new ideas.
- Understanding of opportunities and challenges faced by small businesses in their daily operations.
This internship is designed for students enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program seeking credits for their educational program. The internship is unpaid, viewed as an educational opportunity rather than a paid position. Training/orientation and focus on learning and developing new skills through hands-on application of knowledge will be provided.
