Purpose of this position:
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee all functions of the MDS and resident care assessment process to assure compliance with federal and state requirements, and to certify timely completion of MDS assessments; to document data on MDSs completely and accurately; and to use resident assessment protocols to determine whether to proceed or not to proceed
Qualifications
· Graduate of approved nursing program
· Current/active license as registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
·Two years of professional nursing experience
· Knowledge of PPS
· Two years of RNAC Experience
· Familiarity with Federal and State Long Term Care Requirements
· Possesses effective communication skills
· Ability to coordinate 111 bed facility
Delegation of authority
Authority is delegated to the individual in this position to:
·Oversee scheduling of MDS assessments to assure compliance with federal and state requirements.
·Review and certify completion of MDS assessments.
·Coordinate all functions of the MDS assessment process.
·Participate and/or conduct interdisciplinary meetings.
