Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. We currently employ approximately 600 people across our 4 locations.
We are seeking an experienced Die Repairman for our Grand Rapids, MI. location with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on metal stamping dies.
· Aid with tooling adjustments as needed to ensure part quality standards are maintained.
· Implement effective short/long term solutions to problematic conditions.
· Must be able to complete projects in a timely manner free from defect.
· Must be an effective trouble shooter with an eye for detail.
· General computer skills needed to document work performed.
· Safety oriented and compliant with Safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma, equivalent education.
· Have a Journeyman Card in Tool & Die Repair or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities from working in the trade a minimum of 5 years.
· Must be a team player with good communication skills.
· Approachable, patient, and team oriented.
· Proficient using mill, lathe, drill, saws, crane and surface grinders.
· Must be a self-starter who can work without direct Supervision.
· Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints, Knowledge of GDT a Plus.
