Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. We currently employ approximately 600 people across our 4 locations.
We are seeking a Weld Technician with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude for our Grand Rapids, MI. facility. Qualified candidates would possess the following education, skills, and abilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
· Perform tooling change over’s on automated welding equipment.
· Troubleshoot fixture fit concerns on welded assemblies.
· Perform tip and cap changes on welders at designated intervals.
· Perform weld control adjustments when needed to maintain quality requirements of assemblies.
· Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
· Previous experience with resistance welder set up and troubleshooting
· Working knowledge of pneumatics and 24v sensors preferred
· Working knowledge of mill and lathe preferred.
· Basic computer skills needed
· Eye for detail and accuracy
· Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic
· Data driven approach to problem solving and decision making
· Dedicated to the value of team success before individual interest
· Able to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
· 3-5 years of experience with Resistance Welding preferred
· High School diploma, equivalent education, or willing to meet this requirement
