In this role, you'll plan and execute engaging activity services for our patients, contributing directly to their treatment goals and overall well-being. - Responsible for observing and applying sound judgment in patients' physical and mental conditions/needs.
- Document and communicate changes in patients' appearance, behavior, and ability to work towards treatment plan goals.
- Provide assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreational skills development/deficiency.
- Assist patients in achieving their optimum level of independent functioning.
- Plan and implement activity therapy for assigned patient case load within the facility.
- Model and teach appropriate social, coping, and stress management techniques to patients.
- Contribute to treatment plans with specific goals and interventions in therapeutic activities.
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in occupational therapy, art, music, recreational therapy, humanities, or movement therapy. Master’s degree preferred. Certification or licensure by the state of Georgia and/or national governing body in the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.
- Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and CPI before assisting with restraining procedures and within 30 days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation:
This is a PRN role and the expected compensation is $25.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Activity Therapist!
