What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist/Limited Scope Urgent Care Float position at Ridgeview Medical Center?
Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for performing non-invasive general radiology procedures according to established policies and procedures.
Job Functions
- Prepares room, equipment and materials as needed for patient procedures
- Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment
- Troubleshoots and maintains equipment
- Completes daily QA/QC procedures
- Demonstrates room and equipment cleaning process between patients.
- Organizes and maintains x-ray supplies and inventory.
- Communicates with providers ,patients and support staff as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
- X-Ray Operator License (grandfathered prior to 2007) or completion of AART limited scope Operator examination per Minnesota Department of Health (required Minimum if performing x-ray function)
- Current CPR Certification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
- Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team
- Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
- Ability to multi-task

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
