As a Medical Assistant/Receptionist at NYCDocs, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Primary responsibilities will include managing patient scheduling, assisting with patient enrollment, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and providing exceptional service to our patients. Your ability to multitask, prioritize patient care, and contribute to patient retention efforts will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Scheduling & Coordination: Efficiently schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinic resources and timely patient care. Call patients daily and check-in for appointment reminders.
- Patient Enrollment & Retention: Assist in enrolling new patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed, and follow up to enhance patient retention.
- Reception Duties: Greet patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, manage incoming calls, and handle inquiries efficiently including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
- Phlebotomy: Perform regular blood draws on our patients, ensuring proper techniques and patient comfort while adhering to all safety and health protocols and schedule patients for followup appointments.
- Administrative Support: Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, updating files, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Clinic Organization: Ensure the clinic is always clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, facilitating clear communication and addressing any patient concerns or questions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy certification required
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Spanish/Bengali language proficiency preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using medical office software and basic computer skills.
- A sincere and professional attitude towards patient care and clinic operations.
