What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Intern position at Ridgewood Savings Bank?
Estimated starting salary is $16-$20 per hour.
The Intern is expected to work 20 to 28 hours per week during the school year. The candidate selected will be expected to work in-person at our Lake Success, NY office.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
1. Assist the Auditor-In-Charge with the audit planning process.
2. Ensure that audits are conducted properly by learning the Audit Standards as established by the Institute of Internal Auditors, and following the steps outlined in the audit program, analyzing the results and recording the findings.
3. Assist the Audit Team in the completion of an audit by performing fieldwork, which includes testing various samples of data to determine if a reasonable conclusion can be made concerning the effectiveness of the internal controls of the area.
4. To become proficient in the use of the software applications utilized by the Bank.
5. To transfer audit files onto the Docutrieve® System.
6. To organize the maintenance of the Audit Department’s files, including the storage of non-current audit files.
